Pearl Harbor Dec 7th Memorial and Wreath Laying Ceremony

Monday December 7th 2020 is the 79th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. For the past 34 years the greater Sacramento area United States Submarine Veterans have honored that date with a Memorial and Wreath-Laying Ceremony at Discovery Park.
The scope of the event will be greatly reduced with no chairs, plaques, guest speaker, honor guard or our Submarine Float. We will, however, do a full tolling ceremony and place a wreath in the river from the back of the Yolo County Sheriff’s patrol boat while our bugler blows taps.
Because of COVID 19 restrictions we are limited on attendance, but we absolutely want Gold Country Base members to show up. I expect to have broad coverage from most local televisions stations so if you want to be a TV star now’s your chance.

Social Distancing and Masks are Required.

Members should arrive at 0900 with the ceremony beginning at 0930
Please Note Gate Code information below.
All vehicles entering the park must have a valid parking code SUBVETS20, or they will be subject to the standard vehicle entry fee of $5.00 per vehicle.

Instructions: Each guest will need to use the pay station at the Richards Blvd entrance to enter the code and receive their parking pass. Upon arriving at the pay station follow the prompts on the screen for #5 “More Selections” then #3 “Coupon Code” then enter the coupon code provided above.
